Today we are happy to announce Softwerk’s new COO (Chief Operating Officer) Emil Hessbo! 

The first three quarters of this year have been incredible, challenging and valuable. A year full of opportunities, new projects, and expansion of the team. From an organizational perspective Softwerk are changing and by continuing this growth and success we have invested in the new COO position by hiring Emil.

For all our customers, partners and networks, we have done a mini-interview to give you a proper introduction of Emil;

• Tell us a bit about yourself?

I am a Blekinge-resident who has lived here in Växjö for many years. During almost my entire professional life, I have worked with leadership in one way or another and find it very inspiring to see how people grow and how others succeed.

My time outside of work is spent with family and friends, preferably outdoors either in the garden, the forest or by a stream.

• How does it feel to finally be a part of Softwerk?

It is always fun and inspiring to take on new challenges. I look forward to getting to know new colleagues and how the business works.

• What do you think of Softwerk so far?

What I have seen so far is the simplicity and the family feeling. This is something that I am convinced is reflected in everything we do, from how we work with our colleagues to the projects and customers that we help to succeed.

• What are your hopes for the new role?

My ambition and what has always been close to my heart is to make others thrive and feel fulfilled, no matter who it may be. I see great opportunities to be able to participate and influence Softwerk to become even better at what the team here has built up this far. 

• What are your goals for yourself and Softwerk going forward?

I want to be able to help both my colleagues and our customers to perform at their best. That's always my goal. We do this together by finding more talented colleagues, challenging ourselves and finding fun and exciting businesses to work with. To always ask ‘why not’ or ‘what if’ instead of ‘why’ to always keep moving forward and trying new things.
